Early 20th Century

Back to the period of 1900-1925 today, and I'm starting with a puzzler.  Google says
the frame is for anthropomorphic measurements, but I'm not sure.

James and Company

This handsome fellow was photographed by an outfit called James and Company.
I've only found three other photos by this group, but would love to have more.

Walking away

The model here seems to be walking away, but if this was part of a motion study,
I haven't been able to find any other photos from the sequence.

Emile Deriaz

Here we see Emile, one of the seven Deriaz Brothers of Switzerland.
He was also know as The Modern Samson.

San Francisco

The only info I have on today's twofer is "San Francisco, 1915."

Well lighted

How about some well lighted beef?

Don't match

I wonder if the asymmetry of the two flanking models was intentional?

Quartet

Google says these fellows are French and part of either a military or medical examination.
Either way, a couple of them don't look too happy about being there.

Unusual

Although I could do without the fig leaf, I like this unusual picture.

Movement

Closing with a GIF of a muscular man pulling a heavy block with a rope.

Men in Bed Day II

Today's series is going to be on the subject of men in bed, and it will be all over the map
in terms of content.  We start with the always pleasing Mike Bradburn by Kris Studio.

Quartet

Here we have four men in what looks like two twin beds pushed together.
Mister Left's hairy chest is quite appealing.

Smoker

Smoking in bed is never a good idea.  All the fur could get badly singed.

Soldier

For a little contrast to the preceding in your face photo, we have this soldier and his puppy.

Enticing

Sage Sohier

For a moment I thought the man at right might be Tennessee Williams, but the photo is from a documentary series on same sex couples by Sage Sohier from the mid-1980s.

Quintet

And here we have five soldiers in a bed, all nice an cozy.
Note the hand placement at left.
