Models Day
Today we look at some artists' models, starting with a languidly posed fellow with a staff.
Although, I think this one is more for the camera than an actual pose, me being me, I feel I have to analyse the model's pose. Not easy with that curved back, leaning backwards. Probably some extra support behind? Tucked in right leg to draw in centre of gravity. Most of the weight is on the left leg. Is that pole fixed? As ever, lovely to see a model at work.
Thanks for your observations, David. I seem to recall having seen an academic drawing with that pose. If I find it, I'll either post it or send it to you.
This fellow in the languid pose gives a seductive look to us...his viewing audience!
ReplyDeleteI agree.

DeleteCool, thank you, Jerry. These life studio ones, open a window in to a sort of lost world.
