PT 305
Most of us think of PT boats as being part of the Pacific war,
We all know of JFK and his bravery in the Pacific on PT 109. Another was actor Sterling Hayden who was a Marine officer working for the OSS in the Adriatic utilizing a variety of vessels (though no PT boats) supporting the Partisans of Yugoslavia in fighting the Nazis. Hayden earned a Silver Star from the USA and the Order of Merit of Yugoslavia from Josep Broz Tito himself. Gryf
