About a month ago, I posted a photo that appeared to have been from an art text. Knowledgeable viewer 2nd Wave not only found the source, but sent me a nice group of additional images, including this one. For those of you interested, the source was Studies of the Human Figure with some notes on Drawing and Anatomy, by George Montague Ellwood and Francis Francis Rowland.
Many thanks to 2nd Wave for sharing!

Wow. These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I'll be posting more.
DeleteSo glad to share with you and all our friends here who visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteAs for "Knowledgeable," that's a compliment that is more than generous. Thx!!

Well, you do know more on this subject than many who pass through here, so I wasn't really flattering you. Glad to have you in my world.
DeleteYou can view the entire book on the Internet Archive. I imagine it is still used for those who paint, draw and sculpt .
