Archival
These late 19th Century loggers appear on an official Levis archival web page.
Don't forget. Levis were invented as durable, affordable work clothes for men.
I wear jeans so rarely these days that I had to check prices. Levis 501s run U$55 on Amazon , while Wrangler Cowboy Cut run U$30. Wranglers are preferred by working cowboys and rodeo performers because they use heavier denim and the seaming is arranged to avoid chafing during long or arduous horseback riding. I have both in my wardrobe.
A great photo. Too bad they are no longer affordable for many. Canadian retail price for 501's can reach $89.95.

DeleteP.S. I think Levis is charging for brand cachet.
