I know the work of Baron Wilhelm von Gloeden isn't everyone's cup of tea,but it does have the weight of history and artistic progress behind it. Recently, I've seen a number of his works on the resale websites that I hadn't seen before. Today I'm posting ten of this group,
five of which are duos as we see in the lovely image above.
This photo reminds me of a male harem. I suppose they must have existed. There must have been a sultan who preferred men.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, the one showing his buttocks must have been the master's favorite; the other seems to be a newcomer wondering what will happen to him and listening to the other's advice... His face looks anxious.

Very sumptuous. A bordello for men, I'm sure there were some.
