Commune
Hippies founded dozens of communes, only a very few of which survive today.
This group painted a peace sign on their from porch.
Hog Farm has a Facebook page they own a 200 acre farm and are HQ’ed in Berkeley. Back in 1967 had a cousin and his wife and their 3 yo son who lived in a Corvair van at Big Sur. My father’s sister and her husband went to visit them and they were appalled when my cousins talked of moving to a hippie commune. Needless to say they ended up with their 3 yo grandson, as my cousins went off to join the commune. My cousins gave the commune everything they had and things went well until the commune leader sold the commune and left everyone high and dry in 1972….:(
I read about the Hog Farm in California. I think It's still going.
