Woodstock Staff
Our closing photo is said to be some of the "security" staff at Woodstock trying
to remove a man from some scaffolding for his own safety.
I love these photos of carefree, hippie zen. Everyone was beautiful and kind, nudity was simply the most beautiful costume nature had given us...how I miss that time....
I agree with Albert there was a kindness and gentility that you rarely see nowadays in people. That's why it is magical to go deep into nature and get away from it all. I'm glad there are places you still can!
Oui, sans souci :) That spirit is much needed today. Though adopted by Europe and the World, the hippy idéal was a very Américain cadeau de l’esprit de jeunesse.
I haven’t seen hippies since around 1973/74. Had a hippy couple with kids for neighbors at our apartment complex. They were pretty good, they would always play psychedelic music on their stereo. Used to wait in line with them when a former Helms Bakery driver in his Chevy panel truck would show up with doughnuts and cupcakes to sell. Were we all upset when the driver had to call it quits because of the energy crisis and gas shortage of 1974….:)
Outdoor concert and a naked guy is circulating through the crowd. Sometime later an announcement is made "You with the small penis get down off that light tower!" Guy with small penis climbs down off the light tower.

I remember the Energy Crisis, though I was only 9 at the time! I vaguely remember hippies, but not past age 10. They were in Inglewood, too.

ReplyDeleteSo, the naked, hot hippie was part of the "security staff" ? 😻 I love his look!
