Don Fuller and Pat Tracy
That's Don Fuller at right with Pat Tracy at left.
Bellas was a master at color photography. Reds and blues were popular colors in both Kodachrome and Technicolor formats as both colors rendered perfectly with those light sensitive color films. When Technicolor films were made the studios were required to hire colorists from Technicolor which did not sit well studio cinematographers and set designers. At least with Kodachrome photographers had full control. Imagine if they had to hire colorists from Kodak ! “Bruce, you can’t photograph them, they’re nude !”..:)
Thanks for the commentary. With Bruce's color work, the red sometimes becomes a bit too much, but the process was new, and he took the plunge with new technology. His artistry shines through.
Pat is my favorite here...
ReplyDeleteLess well known, but nice. You have good taste.

DeleteThanks, Jerry! I didn't have this photo in my collection (but I did have 2 others from the same shoot also in colour).
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Brian!
DeleteI like this one, the colour is so natural.
